We can confirm the project is progressing to programme, and you will have noticed significant developments on site. The construction of the new bridge is nearing completion and is scheduled to open to traffic in early November. Once the new bridge is operational, the temporary road will be removed.

To safely connect the new bridge with the existing road network, a temporary closure of A595 will be required. During this period, the temporary road will also be closed to prepare for the removal.

The A595 will be closed between the Community Hall and Dove Ford on the following weekends:

• Saturday 25^th October - Sunday 26^th October

• Saturday 1^st November - Sunday 2^nd November

Closures will be in effect from 7:00 AM on Saturday until 5:00 PM on Sunday on both weekends.

A signed diversion will be in place via the A5092, A590, and A595, passing through Greenodd, Ulverston, and Askam-in-Furness. Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles throughout the closure period.
