Urgent Road Closure

An urgent road closure has been put in place to allow Westmorland and Furness Highways to carry out urgent cattle grid repair works.

This notice will be in force for a period not exceeding 5 days from 29th February 2024. It is expected that the Works will take 2 days.

Location: C5007, Broughton-In-Furness, from a point approx. 2 km north of its junction with the A595, extending in a northerly direction for a distance of approx 400 metres.

Alternative Route: A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and made available via the unrestricted sections of the C5007, Sella Brow, Bobbin Mill Hill, C4028, A595 and Smithy Lane.

Access for Emergency Vehicles will not be maintained where required for the duration of these works.
