Dear Friends,

Happy New Year to all our friends in the Senior Community Friendship Club. We hope you had a festive Christmas and a peaceful new year.

Here is our winter edition of our online Friendship Club for you to enjoy. It is full of fun and interest and includes, of course, a special message from our very much loved PAT dog Pippa.

To access, please click on friendshipclub.org.uk and look for January 2022 update - enjoy.

Special in this edition is the ‘Memories to make you smile.’ If you have a memory that makes you smile, please just jot it down and send it in, it would be good to have a collection of memories as a regular feature.

Sadly Desmond Tutu died this December and this prompted a piece on prominent figures who have made the world a better place. Look in Tributes for Gandhi, Desmond Tutu, Mother Therese and Nelson Mandela.

There is music to sit and enjoy, Sing alongs with Rossendale Memory Choir, poetry from our talented Manchester writers with recitals from yet more gifted narrators and thoughtful prayers for our Christians, me being one of them.

Once again a very special thank you to all our contributors. We couldn’t produce these editions without you. If anyone would like to contribute in any way, please just drop us a line. We have contributors from as far south as the Cotswolds and as far north as Cumbria.

All our welcome and if you have any ideas on interesting content, don’t hesitate to get in touch at admin@friendshipclub.org.uk

Until the Spring edition, take care, stay safe and God bless.

Cheers Tricia
